When you install and use our free application on the Shopify platform ("the App"), we collect and process data to enable transactional SMS notifications for your store. This section explains our practices in the context of the App.

How We Use This Information

This information is used exclusively for the purpose of providing, maintaining, and improving the App's core functionality: enabling you to send automated transactional SMS notifications to your customers based on their orders.

Our Roles

For the personal data of your customers processed through the App, you are the Data Controller. AI SOFTWARE TECH is a Data Processor, acting only on your instructions to provide the SMS notification service. For the personal data you provide to us as a merchant (e.g., your email, store name), we are the Data Controller and process this information to manage your account and provide customer support, as described in Section 3 of this Privacy Policy.

Data Retention and Deletion

If you uninstall the App, we will delete your store-specific data, including the customer personal data processed for SMS, from our active systems within 30 days. We may retain certain information as required by law, for fraud prevention, or for the establishment or defense of legal claims, as permitted under applicable law. We also comply with Shopify's GDPR webhooks, as detailed in our Terms and Conditions.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful basis (e.g., obtaining valid consent) to send SMS messages to your customers and to authorize AI SOFTWARE TECH to process their data for this purpose.
